Who are you and what do you do?
Hi I’m Craig Bunyan, I’m a local plumber and for as long as I can remember I have been a runner, cyclist, triathlete or whatever else presents a challenge.
What bike(s) do you ride?
I currently ride 2 Planet X bikes, an RT-80 roadie, a Stealth for my triathlons and time-trials, and a Boardman CX hack for hitting those New forest gravel track (cider) rides.
Favourite route to ride?
My favourite ride is probably out on the CX forming a 100km loop heading south through the Forest taking in Frogham, Fritham and Sway with a mid-ride stop at Lymington for coffee, cake and probably ice cream. After stopping for usually way too long and eating far too much, I then head back north, taking in the east of the Forest and Beaulieu before heading back home to Romsey.
What was your first bike?
Raleigh Max, dark green, 21 speed and about four sizes too big.
Best bit of kit and why?
Garmin 1000 for exploring the infinite amount of little country lanes or anything Merino because when you get cold it hurts
What’s your dream bike?
Probably a new TT bike, a Specialized S-works shiv TT would fit the bill. Not that I’m fast enough to justify it!
